Writer, Producer, Director, Sam Mason's short film was premiered on August 2nd at Brewery Arts in Kendal, UK, along with two other short films. On what was one of the hottest days of this Summer, the event, a film festival organised by Sam and his friends and fellow film-makers, was a great success. Every seat in the house was sold!
The three films LAYBY, OUR CHARLIE, and CLARITY including a surprise rough edit of a new music video which the audience knew nothing about were all received to thunderous, multiple ovations.
The song video will be going officially live online on September 6th, the link to which I shall share here another day.
There was also a pre-screening networking session for film-makers and actors to meet and get to know one-another better, and share ideas, and find out more about what new, individually planned projects are on the horizon.
A fabulous day was had by all the family members, friends and the supporters of short films and the Brewery Arts, that attended.
Not to forget the film-makers and actors themselves whose hard work, dedication, drive, and love for cinema shows throughout the three featured shorts.
I have watched CLARITY three times and each time I find subtle nuances, small details easily missed - a positive sign of the thought processes involved in how a film is shot and edited - in this subtle thriller which is heading for film-festivals around the world.
CLARITY has already been awarded a place in the forthcoming online film festival pictured above. The dates of all successful festival entries will follow in another post.
